December Update

Hello,
Here's an update, we are finishing up our blues unit, with our own composition and a performance. We are also doing a group performance of Jingle Bells. The advance guitarists will be doing their own lessons next week. Today we had great guest speaker, Luke Bailey, a professional musician, courtesy of Tony's Music Box. He got a great session on guitars and music theory.

Hello,
Gr 10's have finally completed their keyboard and music history unit. We are moving onto guitar and blues now until December. I hope to have a class concert in January, but it is dependent on the students. Students are encouraged to bring their own guitar label with their name and a case. I do not provide picks or strings. I am really looking forward to hearing all the guitar talent in the class.

The end of the semester!

It has been a long time since I updated due to snow days, holidays and working very hard on our exit project. Students did a fantastic job on the end of semester concert and I am very proud of the performances. Every student contributed to the show and it was well recieved. Final marks will be distributed with report cards, but if a student would like a video copy of their performance please contact Ms. Hsu and make arrangements. I cannot post them online because of the length, privacy concerns and school policy. Thanks for being a good class. Good luck on exams.
