Guest Performers
Hello,
Grade 10's had the privilege of a classroom visit from local award winning song writers and performers, Richard Paul, Peter Birney and Ms. Evie Morrison (an OHS teacher). The group performed numerous songs and presented about music in their lives, song writing and the inspirations in their lives. Please check out the photos below. This was a great opportunity and inspiration for students who are currently writing their first blues song. Check back later for our own songs. Thank you to Ms. Morrison who brought the artists in. Check out www.richardpaul.ca to listen to some of the music that the students had the privilege to hear.
Cheers

New Unit
We are starting guitar next week with a focus on blues history. If you have your own acoustic guitar feel free to bring it in. Advance guitar players will work on their own pieces and be responsible for teaching something like a riff or technique to the class. I am excited about this new unit. Students will also be composing their own blues and performing them. I hope to have them recorded . Stay tuned for recording uploads of performances.
